From incredible lines to insane avalanches the film looks behind the scenes at the world of freeride film making.
The other day we found a couple of lines next too a road. Here are 2 pics taken from Tak. Stocked with this shot and JP’s 3 were super sugoi.

Yesterday Tak, JP, Mooratchi (spelt wrong) & myself went to go for a bit of a drive and find a couple of lines next to the roads and take some pics. We drove for about 45mins, about 10mins past the backside of Risitsu Ski Area until we came to a stop and saw some nice lines/drops. We all had snow shoes and went for a short hike while spotting some lines.
I have to say it was sick to see JP(Junpei Endo) hitting this and spinning super clean nice 3’s and Tak being Tak, just charges and drops everything and anything he sees, big balls. My on the other hand hit a little drop and ate shit onto a flatter landing than I had thought, I was pretty pissed with myself as I didnt give enough speed and was messy and back seat, wont do that again,haha Another line was sketchy from where I was although Tak thought it would make a sick shot and I pulled out not feeling it, need to grow my balls and my mind.
Anyway is was a great morning session and hope to go out and do a few more and sack up. Hoping to have some pics to add to this soon.

Went up today for a ski, although short as the weather came in and visibility was zero, so on the way home I went to see Ned and use his boot press to stretch my 6th toe as it has started to calcify, and popped next door to see Bontak, especially as I hadnt seen him in a week and I have been hanging out at his workshop and helping with bits and pieces. So stretched my boot, left it n the press and caught up with Bontak & JP (Junpei Endo, Japanese legend, had his own 1080 pro model a few years ago, mogul man & all round great guy)
So I am meeting them in about an hour to go night skiing and find some fresh lines somewhere and by that time my boot will also have extra space for my extra bone.
Its been a week today since I did my ribs and after plenty of new snow and Moiwa being closed for the past 2 days due to winds and snowfall I thought I would head out there with Mike and go check things out. The ribs were still sore although needed to get back on skis and get some feedback on them,haha. We decided we would get an early start in and so we were at the bus stop at 6.50am and were on the lift by 7.30am, yes 7.30am.
Didnt really get too much on the helmet cam as I was having such a ball and kept forgetting until I was near the end of each run, saying that here are a couple of short clips from early morning.
In March 2009 I was lucky enough to work on the Red Bull Linecatcher event out in La Plagne. This was the 1st of its kind event which was conceptualized by Julien Regnier & brought together by Red Bull & 12 of the worlds top Athletes, its where Freestyle meets Big Mountain. The aim of this event was to take a big mountain face, on which there were 10 kickers built (I was 1 of the shapers for 3 weeks at the end of a shovel & also helping out with the Athletes & Red Bull France) & ski a fluid line, as you would in a big mountain contest, although at the same time showing off a technical freestyle ability by hitting some of the kickers.

The event is back on again for 2010 on Jan 9th-16th in Vars. Again the worlds top athletes have been invited and Tanner Hall will be 1 of the judges. Have a read here, its in French.
Red Bull Linecatcher 2010 – Teaser
Went skiing today for the 1st time in a week to see if my ribs were going to be ok, took some pain killers and headed up, especially as we have just had another massive dump and didnt want to miss out. Got to the lifts and everything was on hold due to the winds apart from a little lift that took you 200 metres up the hill which was flat and poop so came down, good to know that I can get away with skiing with my ribs. Moiwa has been closed for 2 days now so going to head out there tomorrow and get some DEEP Pow Pow.
Got back to the house and Mike was digging out our path and steps to the house, so I jumped on a shovel and we got it knocked out. Its so much deeper than I thought, told you we have had lots of snow.
